ABOUT

We are an environmental consulting and invasive weed control company based in Northwest Colorado focusing on wildlife, rangeland, forestry, and noxious weed management. We use the best available science, field surveys, and GIS to provide ecological solutions for your property. We work with private landowners, nonprofits, and government entities. We are local and family owned and operated within Northwest Colorado. 

ERIN GELLING

Biologist & Owner

Erin completed her Masters of Science in Rangeland Ecology and Watershed Management at the University of Wyoming studying greater sage-grouse habitat selection and breeding ecology. She earned a B.Sc. in Ecology and Natural Resources and minor in GIS from Rutgers University. She previously worked for Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Steamboat Springs as a Resource Conservationist and Rangeland Management Specialist. She has also worked as a Wildlife Technician with the U.S. Forest Service and Colorado Parks and Wildlife in Routt County, Colorado. In the last 15 years, Erin has worked with government, private entities, universities, and nonprofit organizations to conduct wildlife, plant, range, forest, and agricultural improvements field surveys and inventories. Erin has worked with a variety of wildlife species, including sage-grouse, sandhill cranes, and songbirds. Erin has also worked in forestry and plant identification and has conducted hundreds of forest and rangeland plant surveys. She also enjoys being an interpretive guide and environmental educator.

RYAN GELLING

Ryan has a background in environmental law, conservation, and weed control. Ryan received his Masters of Science in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School and his B.Sc. in Political Science from University of Wisconsin at Steven's Point. Ryan previously worked at the Yampa Valley Land Trust (now Colorado Cattlemen's Agricultural Land Trust) and Routt County Assessors Office as the Agricultural Appraisor. Ryan holds a Qualified Supervisors license for rangeland and agricultural land weed control. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys woodworking and rafting.
